"I thought this book was a solid historical romance from author Lisa Kleypas. The story was entertaining from beginning to end, although it was a teensy bit slow at about 80% into it. I loved the Welsh main character Rhys and his Selfridge’s type story line. I loved the main heroine Helen, with her soft spoken beauty and temperament. I also really loved the side characters like Mrs. Fernsby (Rhys’ secretary), Dr. Garrett, and Helen’s half sisters Pandora and Cassandra, as well as in the later storyline with Helen’s full sister Charity (later named Carys). I liked the main conflict with Helen’s biological father blackmailing her for money from Rhys in exchange for silence about Helen’s true parentage. Overall I think if you like this author and her previous work, you will love this one especially."
"You can’t go wrong with this series. I was so excited to read this book after reading these two characters in the first book. I was not disappointed. I was a little surprised at first by some of the personality changes but quickly got over that and devoured the book."

"Oh I think I'm going to have the issue of comparing all other Historical Romance books to this one. I adored Helen. Rhys was just so perfectly protective and stern, but had this sweet softness for Helen. I loved how Helen found her strength and was forced to face her privilege that wouldn't generally be in other romance novels. I think the story is so complex and you can't help but hope that it will all come out alright.

This will definitely be one of my favorite books of all time and definitely be one of my favorites of the year hands down."
