"When I first picked this up I didn't think I'd be able to enjoy this. Murakami's plots are always very weird and out there. These plots tend to take a lot to set it up and the continue the storyline so I was worried. However, I was surprised. Although they were very short (30-70 ish pages), they still had the sense that you're reading Murakami and not some other author. Like many short story collections, I felt some of the stories had no purpose and were pretty boring but, there were many stories i enjoyed.
