"This book wasn't awful...I just don't understand why it followed such a similar plot outline as the first book in the series. The actual plots didn't have much to do with each other; it was just the vague concept. I am giving the third one a chance, but I really hope the author has a bit more creativity in the next one. I believed the story of the first one; I didn't believe the story of this one as much.

This is like the One Tree Hill of crime fiction, and I kind of want to punch this book a little bit. These things don't happen to the same person over and over. GET NEW MATERIAL AND BE CREATIVE.

Also, I am so bored by the Tracy / Dan parts, and I am hoping for less in the next one haha. It's just so cheesy and unrealistic, and they feel so flat."
"Can we talk about how much I love these books? So good, it's like everything I love about procedural dramas rolled up into a novel."

"These books were recommended to me because I wanted books similar to the Mercy Kilpatrick books and I have not been disappointed, these are great books and I really like Tracy Crosswhite. "
