"This was just ok for me. Perhaps I’ve read too many similar books but there wasn’t any “aha” moments for me. Exercise, connection with others, creativity, rest….those are the keys to completing the stress cycle that women are under because of the patriarchy. It’s all true but I was hoping for a new revelation. "
"Practical advice for closing stress cycles supported by research and written by actual scientists. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s already changed my mindset and how I manage stress. "

"Absolutely loved this book. I am an RA at college and I finally had something to help me figure out how to deal with my stress. A good chunk of the book is about the patriarchy which is not fully why I read the book in the first place but was refreshing to read something that explained the way I feel about the world. "
"I don’t always appreciate self help books. I find they are often condescending, over-simplifying, and potentially dangerous. I did like aspects of this one though. It’s specifically written for women, so I found it a bit off-putting that an entire gender is excluded. It also has quite a bit of info regarding motherhood which I personally can’t relate to. But i did find it helpful, particularly for those of us in service professions. Halfway through this book I walked out of my job so there’s that warning for you. "
