"I'm a huge James Patterson fan and have read the Alex Cross series, Michael Bennett series along with the Woman's murder club series. I generally look forward to the next book with extreme excitement but this particular book I was disappointed. it started out really slow (I wasn't really interested in following the trial I'm more so drawn to the detective and case solving aspect.) and I almost didn't finish it.<br/>I gave it a three because there wasn't a 2 1/2. It picks up a bit towards the middle. hopefully the next book in this series is more in the style of the 1st couple of books in this series."
"This is the worst of the series, by far. The mysteries take a back seat to Boxer's baby issues (who cares?), and the characters behave as though they are shocked by the most obvious revelations. What happened to the complex crime dramas and believable characters of the prior books? And what happened to the Women's Murder Club? They do not convene to share case details once during the whole book, just to drink and carouse as a backdrop to couple issues. Utterly disappointing."
