And you do the only thing a parent can do: you follow her into a dark and dangerous world you never knew existed. Before you know it, both your family and your life are on the line. "I’ve read a lot of books this year, and this has been one of the best. Total page turner."

"Wow! My first book by this author. Very well done. I can see how it's at every airport though, such a classic whodunnit kinda read, but still amazing IMO."

"This was my first foray into Harlan Coben's standalones, even though I own 10 of them. I'm disappointed that I didn't pick one of them up sooner. This was just as good as the Myron Bolitar series, but with a little less humor.

We have multiple viewpoints, with the first being Simon and Ingrid Greene. They are a middle class family with three children. Unfortunately, the oldest, Paige is an addict that Simon is tipped off is panhandling in a nearby park. He tries to save her, but instead punches her addict boyfriend Aaron.

Next, we have the viewpoint of Elena. A Chicago based private investigator who is looking into a missing person's case that may be connected to Paige. Last, we have two hired killers who we follow as they perform their hits. How are they all connected? You'll have to read it to find out!

As per usual, this is a fast paced thriller that draws you in immediately. The characters are well developed and the plotting is excellent, though suspension of belief is necessary. If you're looking for a fast paced thriller, this is it!"
