"An enjoyable read about a peaceful alien-human relationship where they mainly export our literature, with a snarky female narrator. Reminded me of Sanford's Saturn Run, Reid's Year Zero, and Space Opera. It is a murder mystery, but I wouldn't describe it as a locked room one. It's very obvious how the perps got in. Bit of gore at the end, but mostly just strong language and suicide references as triggers. Really like the word play of the title."
"As an aspiring translator, this book caught my eye right away. But if I had to pick my favourite thing about it? It'd be the title.
I thought it was a fancy allegory of sorts, but reading into the first pages really made me enjoy the actual meaning behind it. Or maybe I'm just easily entertained.

Sadly the ending got a bit boring for me, but it was a good read nevertheless. Characters were likeable, the peek into what the future may be was distressing, it was all one would expect out of a future sci-fi kinda story.

Good book overall. Not a fave, but I had fun."
