Friedrich Nietzsche
This work dramatically rejects the tradition of Western thought with its notions of truth and God, good and evil. Nietzsche demonstrates that the Christian world is steeped in a false piety and infected with a "slave morality." With wit and energy, he turns from this critique to a philosophy that celebrates the present and demands that the individual imposes their own "will to power" upon the world.

"This book is packed with unconventional wisdom. Every line us deep. It challenges the mind and forces you to think differently. I often had to read sentences two or three times just to fully grasp the message.
This is not an easy book to read without some background. Having knowledge of philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, and even the pre-Socratics thinkers is very helpful. Nietzsche also quotes and builds on ideas from German philosophers like Kant and Schopenhauer, so being familiar with them adds even more depth to the experience. Any knowledge of Eastern philosophy (Bhagwat Geeta and such) is a big plus.
Understanding the civil history of Nietzsche’s time is also important to fully appreciate the points he makes. This is a book that demands preparation, patience, and careful reading — but it rewards you with insights that stay with you for a long time."
"Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche 2/5 ⭐⭐
If I had more time to dissect this with a physical copy (I just listened to the audiobook) I might come away from this feeling less stupid. But I doubt it. Most of this was too back in time to understand the reasoning of things I've never touched on like much of Plato philosophy (only recently touched on by myself) and Kant (whom I've heard of in passing but know nothing). All possibly a dig at my abysmal public school education I've been trying to remedy as an adult. With probably poor means. I had to watch several laymen type explanation YT videos just to get the gist and I still feel stupid. "
"One of the greatest books I’ve ever read. In this Nietszche concretized tools for people to explore and create their own spirituality and to allow them to find their own answers to some of life’s bigger questions "
