"From the title I knew this would be an interesting read. There doesn't seem to be many books about detective divers and I was right I couldn't put this one down. Honestly it made me want to get scuba certified myslef. The way Sloane gave tips as to how to be safe even if she didn't always heed them herself.

Still I had a lot of respect for Sloane. She is one of those characters you want to be loyal to because you know it will be reciprocated. Andrew Mayne did an amazing job of making Sloanes career interesting. All the legal jargon and equipment safety. Throw in the sideshow pirating and I was on board all the way.

Sloane and Solar made a great team. They fed off each other very well. Sloane a somewhat rookie under the wing of a prestigious detective. Solar never missed the chance to pick her brain but he also let Sloane take the lead at times. He wasn't above getting help from others even though he had made a name for himself. I hope to read more about them in the future.

I also appreciated the way Mayne took up for cops and their difficult job. Not all cops are bad and not all cops are good. Watching the news makes me wonder if people remember that. Officer's preform very difficult tasks and at times can be put under immense pressure where they have to choose. My life or there's. So I was pleased to see this mentioned."
