Escape from Tomorrow

"This movie was made solely to get Disney upset. A few people went into Disneyland & Disney World and filmed an entire "horror" movie guerilla style, with no permission or knowledge from Disney. Disney never acknowledged its existance, but it's still an interesting footnote in their history. The movie itself is pretty bad, but I enjoyed it as a comedy. "

"I don't know who this movie is for. I was actually excited about this before it came out. It was a while ago now but I remember vaguely following the production of this movie. The fact that it was illegally filmed in Disneyland seemed kind of punk rock to me and I love low-budget horror. Plus there was this big "the dark side of Disneyland" thing which I was interested in because, well I was kind of an edge lord but there's definitely some artistic merit to showing behind the facade. Unfortunately, this movie is a huge waste of time. The "dark side" explored in the movie is less Disney covering up deaths that occurred there and more creepypasta tier urban legend ****. And the social commentary is trite at best and gross at worst. I hated this and my wife whose interested in theme parks hated it even more. Absolute waste of time and potential."
