"This is a fun romantic drama starring Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyck. Clark plays the role of a race car driver whose methods in the sport is considered reckless by others. Barbara plays the role of a journalist who seeks to expose Clark for his dangerous and perhaps deadly driving. The two meet, and fireworks 🎆 of all types are the result. This is one of those predictable plots, but I really enjoyed being along for the ride, with wonderfully witty dialogue and flirtatious dialogue at every hairpin turn. The acting between the two powerhouse stars was great, and I was pleasantly surprised at the fantastic and realistic footage of the racing track in many of the scenes. (That is the reason behind my four star ⭐ rating.)"
