"I find this movie to be the pinnacle of Lar Von Trier's misogyny on screen with less of anything else to balance it out. It is very much my opinion that the main character acts as an avatar to express Von Trier's twisted worldview with the man she's telling the story acting as those pesky SJWs always trying to shut him down. But before their depiction seems too sympathetic the character acting as them also tries to sexually assault the main character. After the character says he's asexual so... cool."
