After a meteor-like object lands in the woods, poachers unearth a cave filled with alien eggs. As they attempt to destroy the eggs, one of them is killed by an unseen creature, leaving one egg intact. A young boy named Tommy finds the remaining egg and brings it home to hatch. As more murders occur around town, Tommy learns that his new pet alien, who he names Trumpy, possesses telekinetic powers.

"1983. Another I watched via Mystery Science Theater 3000. I wouldn’t have otherwise. Also known as Pod People. Originally filmed in French and Spanish, the actors learned both languages. It premiered in France before Spain. The film was originally intended as a low-budget horror movie about an evil alien. After the success of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), the producers made the alien into a lovable character, and added a kid who befriends it. Director Juan Piquer Simón was not satisfied with the final result. Filmed in Spain. 🇪🇸 "
