"Lost Horizon, directed by Frank Capra, is based on a novel by James Hilton, which originated the city of Shangri-la. In this film, Ronald Colman plays English diplomat Robert Conway, a man taken to Shangri-la against his will, along with his evacuation party, following their escape from a political coup. It has the usual Capra charm, and a story that suggests that miracles would happen every day if we could learn to live lives of moderation and kindness, without destructive ambition."
