An innocent young man, Jack, goes on an epic quest to rescue his sister Lula after she has been kidnapped by the violent killer Cut Throat Bill and her gang. To save her, Jack enlists the help of a crafty bounty hunter named Reginald Jones, a grave-digging alcoholic son of an ex-slave, and a street-smart prostitute. The gang tracks Cut Throat Bill into the deadly no-man’s land known as The Big Thicket — a place where blood and chaos reign.

"I'm generally not a fan of Westerns, but this Tubi original peaked my interest because of the cast. Starring the always interesting, Peter Dinklage and one of my all time favorites, Juliette Lewis. Although the story feels disjointed at times and the pace drags a little in spots, the characters were compelling enough for me to watch it all the way through. Dinklage plays a crack shot bounty hunter whose partner is an ex-slave and is hired by Levon Hawke's character to track down the brutal outlaw, Cut Throat Bill, played by Lewis, because she took his sister.
Sidenote: (Levon Hawke is the son of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.)
Dinklage and Lewis give top caliber performances in this gritty film of frontier justice. I was also surprised and impressed by the comedian, Andrew Schulz showing up as a pimp of sorts in a brothel. As I said, it's slow in parts but when things do happen, they are particularly violent so that makes it worthwhile in my book. Definitely warrants a watch. 7.5/10"
