"Imagine if Wes Anderson directed an episode of Portlandia. Flux Gourmet was way too off-beat and talky for my tastes. The humor was subtle, the performance art was not, and I love shock-value. The imbalance ultimately lost me in the final act.
Berberian Sound Studio starring Toby Jones comes to mind as a similar film that is more dialed-in."
"Avant garde just for the sake of it, & even in its satirical moments, I felt like it didn't have much to say."

"Obviously made by someone with a weird sc*t fet*sh. Tries really hard to be different/odd, and it works at times but other times feels forced. I think it would have been a much better movie without all the weird references to poop/bowels/etc. It could have been an interesting surrealist type "weird" horror film, but is kinda clouded with the unnecessary scenes that I assume exist only for the director. Also drags on too long. Idk not great. "
