Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini arrives in 1889 New York City and is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society's most vulnerable. With broken English and poor health, Cabrini uses her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.

"A period piece based on the true story of an Italian nun who is sent to NYC with high dreams that only she could imagine or accomplish, and meant to inspire everyone, but especially immigrant families and women to never stop fighting for their futures regardless of who stands in the way. I think I cried, I was at least close to it cause this gets pretty emotional, and the movie definitely kept me engaged. The film also features top notch acting from Cristiana Dell'Anna (who plays Cabrini herself), as well as her fellow cast members, and id estimate about half (if not more) of the movie is in Italian - something I'm always happy to see: foreign language films in the theatre! There were a couple faults in the directing/scene transitions but nothing major. I'd still recommend to everyone! 9/10🥖"
"Amazing to see the trail blazing spirit of Mother Cabrini. Against all odds, she kept going where she didn’t belong. And the world benefited. Truly inspiring! "

"A great movie about the first American saint. Depicts the terrible conditions that many new immigrants have faced coming to the Americas at the turn of the last century and the struggles they faced. So many orphans due to disease and poor living conditions. "
